SBI (Sea Bunkering International) BV has been appointed exclusive agent
for the Libya-based bunker supplier Nour Libya Marine Services Co.

A spokesman for SBI told Bunkerworld it had taken over marketing
responsibility for the Libyan company.

Nour Libya Marine Services supplies bunkers offshore from its bunker
tanker Nour 1.

The tanker is currently operating in a sea area south of Malta,
 although
the SBI said it could serve other areas of the Mediterranean if
required.

The tanker has an on-board blender and can supply all grades of
intermediate fuel oil (IFO).  It can also supply marine gas oil (MGO).

The 3,200 deaweight tonne (dwt) Nour 1  can deliver stems of up to 900
metric tonnes (mt).

The SBI spokesman said the bunker market in the Mediterranean was
growing and that offshore suppliers could help ships bypass  congestion
in the region's bunkering ports.

He also said product from Libyan refineries was generally extremely low
in sulphur content.

Inquiries will be handled through the Greek office of SBI, SMB Sea Med
Bunkering.
